Eligibility Criteria or educational Qualification
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 10th or 12th from a recognized board.
- Age Limit: 18 to 30 years (age relaxation as per government rules).
- Physical Standards: Applicants must meet prescribed height, chest (for males), and running test requirements.
Salary & Benefits
The UP Home Guard position offers a structured pay scale under the 7th Pay Commission:
Basic Pay: ₹20,200 per month
Grade Pay: ₹2,000 (Level 3 pay scale)
Gross Salary: Around ₹30,000 per monthIn-Hand Salary: Approximately ₹27,000 after deductions

Minimum: 18 Years
Maximum: 30 Years (for General/EWS) Note: Age relaxation is provided to SC, ST, and OBC candidates as per Uttar Pradesh government rules

Selection Process
The selection for UP Home Guard 2025 is structured to test both the mental and physical aptitude of the candidates:
Written Examination: An OMR-based offline test featuring objective-type questions, primarily focusing on General Knowledge.
Physical Standard Test (PST): Measurement of height, chest, and weight.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): A running test to check stamina.
Males: 4.8 km run in 28 minutes.
Females: 2.4 km run in 16 minutes.
Document Verification: Checking of educational certificates and domicile.
Medical Examination: Final fitness assessment.
